1) Many things were discussed in class today however the main topic was revolving around databases and data collecting, interpreting etc. We learned a lot about the different types and meanings. Also we were made aware of the different databases that the college uses/offers. We practiced searches with them to get a better understanding of them.
2) To me the points that were most important to me were the ones regarding the university databases. I did not know that they existed nor how to use them. I know this is important due to the fact that I know I will have to use them a lot over the course of my college career.
3) I can use the techniques in many different ways, however primarily in my classes and in my research. Also now I can more effectively use the tools because I have a better understanding of just how they work.
4) I think it is one of the best ways to go about a search and I will soon be using it. Everything you need (especially nowadays with the advent of the modern computer) is right at your finger tips. I know that I will have an even better understanding and grasp on it after I get some good in field practice with it.
